Costa Rica is considered a miniature paradise in the heart of Central America, ornamented by the Caribbean and Pacific Ocean. Few places on the planet present so much climactic and geographic variety. Offering one of the richest diversities of flora and fauna in the world, owing to its isthmus position, Costa Rica facilitates the migration of many species in their journeys north and south. With an area of only 51, 500m², Costa Rica is constituted by volcanos, jungles, waterfalls, forests, islands and incredible biodiversity. This beautiful country is considered a Natural World Heritage by the UNESCO.

In an effort to protect as much territory as possible, this little paradise hosts 27 national parks, or essentially one quarter of Costa Rica’s land area. This peaceful nation absolved its militia in 1949, (according to most history books, this process commenced in 1825) redirecting financial resources to education and health. This decision held major social implications; Costa Rican now maintains a literacy rate of 96%.

Costa Rica’s geographic location and political condition make it a worldwide tourist destination and a secure, relaxing environment suitable for the acquisition of the Spanish language.
Our people are warm and kind; even strangers will greet you with a smile. Costa Rica has a population of 4,500,000 people, all native Spanish speakers, most of whom also speak other languages like English, French, Portuguese, German and Italian, transcending the language barrier between Costa Ricans and foreigners.
